Is it safe to shop with BrickArsenal?

What are BrickArms?

BrickArms are highly detailed custom weapons that are compatible with building brick sets like LEGO and Mega Bloks. They are injection-molded with ABS plastic (the same as you'll find in LEGO), and are made to be gripped and carried by minifigures.BrickArms are not life-size, they are designed to be used with mini figures. They do not fire and contain no moving parts. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO® Group of companies which does not sponsor, authorize or endorse BrickArms.

What are protos or prototypes?

These weapons were made in the BrickArms workshop as test weapons. Rather than being mass-produced, these are cast by hand in small batches. They may have a rougher finish than production weapons or flaws. Some also come in unusual color variations not typically available in the standard BrickArms line.

Why do they cost more?

The cost of prototypes reflects the higher cost BrickArms charges us for these items. Because they are limited in quantity and availability, and because they are cast by hand, these are considered premium items. Flaws such as sprue marks, irregular color distribution or machine marks from the molds are common, and are not considered to detract from the value. Prototypes were previously free, but only obtainable by attending a BrickCon event or by winning a contest. Due to high demand, the BrickArms company made a decision to begin selling prototypes as premium weapons through resellers in 2011. You may still obtain free protos at certain conventions or as prizes at various times.

What is a Sprue?

It is a term used in molding and casting. With BrickArms, molds are made to allow multiple weapons in one pour. They are attached by a thin channel of plastic to a central tube. When the plastic is poured, it flows through the tube and channels to fill each of the individual weapon molds. When they're removed, the weapons are still attached by the plastic that hardens in each of those channels. Normally, they're then snapped off to be used individually. Sometimes, BrickArms will release them on the sprue.If you have weapons on the sprue, you can easily snap them off, but many collectors prefer to keep them that way. And if you do snap them off, ask around! There are people who just like the sprue itself!

What are freebies?

Freebies are free weapons with every order! You can choose from the current selections available on the freebie page based on your purchase amount. If you do not choose your freebies, we will select them for you and include them in your shipment. The larger the order, the more freebies you can choose.

What is flat-rate shipping?

Flat-rate shipping means you pay one price, no matter how many items you order from our site. It costs $3.99 in the US and Canada or $19.99 internationally for standard USPS mail delivery of your order, no matter how large.

How long does shipping take?

We ship the same day on most orders! Our last shipment goes out at 4PM Eastern, so orders that were verified and/or confirmed prior to that time will go out the same day. Otherwise, your order is shipped the very next morning on weekdays. On weekends and holidays, all orders are shipped the next business day.

For orders in the US: The Postal Service allows about 10 working days for shipping anywhere in the US, though we often have packages arrive across the country in just 2 or 3 days. We cannot control the speed of the postal service, however, so your order might take longer. It is important to bear this in mind during the holiday season when post offices often experience delays. If shipping time is critical, please be sure to provide a valid contact number. That way, we will be able to call you if there are any problems. You can also select the expedited shipping option to purchase faster delivery through another carrier.

Orders to Canada are processed the same way as those to the US, but will take longer to arrive due to being handled by two postal services.International orders may take longer to arrive due to the distance and processing through customs services. If there are customs fee or taxes charged by your country, they will be paid by the purchaser to their government agency, not to BrickArsenal or ToyWiz.
